KIERAN GILL AT STAMFORD BRIDGE: Chelsea are still looking to offload players as they try to trim their bloated squad, and one Man City sibling in particular is impressing.

This summer's transfer window has already been a busy one, with every team besides Liverpool bringing in new signings to bolster their artillery. Here are the new WAGs we can expect to see in the stands throughout the 2024-24 Premier League season.

KIERAN GILL: Chelsea have signed 22-year-old goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen from Villarreal, immediately flying the young shot-stopper to the United States to begin training under Enzo Maresca. Seen as an ideal candidate for Maresca's style of play, Jorgensen was present in Atlanta for a session at Pace Academy after his £21million move was completed on Tuesday. Maresca was keen to add a new shot-stopper to his squad to boost his bid to play out from the back. Chelsea's goalkeepers have been taking part in passing drills in training.

SIMON JONES: The 22-year-old is due to undergo a medical this week ahead of agreeing a seven-year contract. As reported by Mail Sport, the Blues had offered £17m but Villarreal held out for £21m - with both clubs reaching a compromise in recent days. Jorgensen is thought to be keen to join the club to compete with current No 1 Robert Sanchez and will pledge his long-term future to Stamford Bridge. He could now fly out to the United States for his medical checks.

KIERAN GILL IN NOTRE DAME, INDIANA: The number of times that Celtic beat Chelsea's high line with a single ball in behind was concerning, made worse by the lack of press from Enzo Maresca's players which gave their opponents plenty of time to pick a pass. That was precisely how Celtic made it 4-0, and it made you think of Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou last season. Premier League opponents will try to expose Chelsea's high line over the upcoming campaign because all it requires is the right ball and run to open them up. Chelsea's right-hand side was particularly vulnerable when Reece James was inverting into midfield as it left a giant gap.

Some big names have been left out of Chelsea's US pre-season tour, with uncertainty over the futures of six players in particular.  The club have named a 28-man squad that will fly out to the United States, with their first game against Wrexham in California on Wednesday.  Enzo Maresca's side will then go on to face Celtic, Club America, Premier League rivals Manchester City, before concluding the tour with a game against Real Madrid in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 7. 

The former Brighton shot-stopper is understood to be in line to start the season as Enzo Maresca 's first choice keeper. It places doubt over the immediate future of Djordje Petrovic who impressed under Mauricio Pochettino last season. In the past 24 hours the club have 'stepped up' plans to look for a new goalkeeper who can compete with Sanchez, the Telegraph report. Maresca is said to be an admirer of the way Sanchez can play out from the back, but believes there is too much of a difference between him and Petrovic.

When England kick-off their Euro 2024 campaign against Serbia on Sunday, a number of familiar names will line-up against Gareth Southgate's side. The likes of Aleksandar Mitrovic, Dusan Tadic, and Djordje Petrovic will all be well-known to Premier League fans, to say nothing of their star striker, Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic. But despite their talented squad a former Liverpool star might have been his country's biggest footballing export had his career panned out differently.

England will take on Serbia in Germany on Sunday night in the eastern European state's biggest match in more than two decades. They have the 'enthusiastic backing' of board members and will be free to continue leading Chelsea's transfer moves, according to The Telegraph. Meanwhile, the future of Mauricio will be reviewed following the club's final game of the season against Bournemouth on Sunday.

Peter Drury has been hailed by fans for his commentary of Ben White's second goal against Chelsea. The Gunners thumped Mauricio Pochettino's side 5-0 at the Emirates on Tuesday to go three points clear at the top of the Premier League. White scored twice and Kai Havertz also netted a brace after Leandro Trossard had put Arsenal on their way within four minutes.

KIERAN GILL AND JACK GAUGHAN AT WEMBLEY: Holders Manchester City beat Chelsea 1-0 with a late Bernardo Silva goal on Saturday to reach the FA Cup final. Silva sidefooted the ball home in the 84th minute after Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic parried a shot from former Blues midfielder Kevin De Bruyne. Both keepers were busy with De Bruyne, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish missing chances for City, while Nicolas Jackson, Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke had efforts saved by Stefan Ortega, smothered by the City defence or lost to wayward shots. 

Chelsea 2-2: After a tense match at Bramall Lane, the Blades' Premier League winless streak stretched to seven games. Mauricio Pochettino's side wasted little time seizing the opportunity, with Thiago Silva netting from a corner to mark his third goal of the season on his return to the starting XI. Despite this, the hosts refused to lay down, and equalized before the interval, after Jayden Bogle defeated Djordje Petrovic at his near post.

KIERAN GILL: Liverpool won the Carabao Cup for the 10th time after defeating Chelsea 1-0 in extra time at Wembley Stadium. Raheem Sterling had led the Blues in the first half by a close finish, but he had been found to have been in an offside position. After heading the ball home on the hour mark, Virgil assumed he had given Jurgen Klopp's side the lead, but his goal was called out for offside, as Sterling did.

Fans of Liverpool rioted after Virgil van Dijk had a goal called off in the Carabao Cup final for offside before the Dutchman scored a penalty kick at Wembley on social media. Liverpool appeared to have taken the lead in the second half after Andy Robertson's free-kick. Ben Chilwell was beaten to the ball, launching his header over Djordje Petrovic before the Reds captains partied off in honor.

Conor Bradley, 20, scored his first goal for Liverpool and then set up one for Dominik Szoboszlai as Juergen Klopp's side moved five points ahead in the Premier League table with a 4-1 victory over Chelsea on Wednesday. Chelsea supporters lauded Cole Palmer's pivotal role in Newcastle's penalty shootout on Tuesday as he correctly predicted Matt Ritchie's spot-kick's course. After winning the Treble last season, the England international made the brave decision to leave Manchester City for Chelsea in the summer. Despite the Argentinian boss's struggle to fix Chelsea's inconsistencies this season, he has since played for the Blues and became an integral part of Pochettino's crew.

Here's another dagger in the chest right at the death following the late heartache of the tumultuous penalty at Paris Saint-Saint Germain that ultimately cost the Champions League so much money. When Mykhailo Mudryk sent an absorbing tie to a penalty shootout, the Magpies were just seconds away from winning their first ever away game in a League Cup quarter-final. And how Mauricio Pochettino needed it with the home crowd lining up to turn. In the third minute of injury time, the Ukrainian capital was pounced on a miscalculation by Kieran Trippier. When he saved Matt Ritchie's cause, the Newcastle defender lost his spot-kick and Djordje Petrovic was the hero. Howe and his crew were still applauded by their visitors, but this has been a bruising time both literally and metaphorically.
