A boy, 10, died after falling ill at the Glasgow park yesterday with customers hearing 'hysterical screaming' coming from the bouncy castle area. Police have described the death as 'unexplained' but there are not thought to be any 'suspicious' circumstances. It's the latest tragedy to have befallen the company, and comes after furious visitors last November called for what they labelled as Britain's 'most dangerous trampoline parks' to be shut down. Horrific injuries suffered include broken necks, feet nearly being torn off at the ankles, and one man being left paralysed from the neck down.

IAN LADYMAN: Sir Alex Ferguson didn't lose to Manchester City often but on the occasion of his most famous defeat by the club across town, he found the perfect way to sum it all up. Standing in Maine Road's cramped press room after a 5-1 thrashing on September 23, 1989, Ferguson said: 'Trying to control that game was like trying to climb a glass mountain.' All these years on, as the two Manchester clubs prepare to face each other in a second successive FA Cup final, the fifth full-time manager since Ferguson stepped away from the furnace 11 years ago knows the feeling well.

San Francisco restaurant owners are stuck in the "doom loop"; crime, opioid use, and low tourism are all killing companies, according to San Francisco, with sales down by 50% in certain regions

This week, a slew of restaurateurs blamed crime, opioids, and waning tourism as the principal reasons for their business's deaths, all located on Valencia's Valencia Street. The thoroughfare, which is about a mile from the city's troubled downtown, is listed as one of the Bay Area's most in-demand strips of restaurant real estate. However, the truth for residents of San Francisco's Mission District is very different. The location, which is much like Union Square, City Hall's nearby 'Doom Loop', and Tenderloin and Mid Market districts, has been a hive of unsavory, post-pandemic activity. Several people in San Francisco Chronicle interviews referred to a slew of forced closures from their compatriots, and many explained how one of the city's most populated streets is no longer the safest.

Santa Monica's City has decided to pay out more than 200 people as a result of former police officer Eric Uller's resignation on Tuesday, but one prosecutor claims there could still be more. It's one of the most lucrative criminal offences of its kind ever, for one of the most prolific alleged perpetrators. Last Tuesday evening, the city council of California announced that it had approved settlements worth $122.5 million for 124 claimants. Attorney Catherine Lerer, whose firm McGee Lerer, said that the total payouts had now reached a whopping $229,825,000 to over 200 people suspected of bullying by Uller as children. According to DailyMail.com, 'More claims could also be made.' 'For victims under the age of 40, they have until their 40th birthday to file a lawsuit.' Eric Uller, a former Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) worker, molested hundreds of children while volunteering at the Police Activities League (PAL), a non-profit for underprivileged youth in the 1980s and 1990s. In 2018, he committed suicide while awaiting his first appeal. However, a slew of lawsuits arose as a result of the City's suspected negligence and even concealment of the abuse.

We mourn for this most faithful life.' Broadcast cameras were allowed into the historic event, giving the world a first glance at an ancient celebration dating back centuries and one of the first changes to convention initiated by the new King.
