The sneak peak at the reboot was released on Friday, and offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the show, which comes 12 years after the original series ended. Selena Gomez shared a mini reunion with some of her Wizards Of Waverly Place co-stars in new Instagram photos just one week after a sequel to the hit Disney movie was announced. In the fun snaps, the Only Murders In The Building actress, 31, who recently opened up about her body image, was joined by David Henrie, David DeLuise, and Maria Canals-Barrera. Henrie played Alex Russo, Selena's older brother, in the series, while David and Maria portrayed their parents.

Selena Gomez's character on her Disney Channel series Wizards Of Waverly Place was originally meant to be a member of the LGBTQ community, according to the series' showrunner. Executive producer Peter Murrieta said he had always imagined Gomez's character, Alex Russo, having a gay relationship with her friend Stevie, who appeared on the Wizards Of Waverly Pod show with co-hosts Jennifer Stone and David DeLuise.
