The Edmonton Oilers have continued their miraculous series comeback from 3-0 down and forced a do-or-die Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Finals, after beating the Florida Panthers on Friday night in Game 6. The hosts got goals from Warren Foegele, Adam Henrique and Zach Hyman before Ryan McLeod and Darnell Nurse scored on empty nets late in the third period, as they won 5-1 at home and once again denied the Panthers their first-ever title. The Oilers are the first team to tie the final after falling behind 3-0 in the series since the Detroit Red Wings in 1945.
In warmups, Darnell Nurse's face by a puck is shocking... before the bloodied defenseman plays 20 minutes in Edmonton's loss to Carolina

On Wednesday, Edmonton defenseman Darnell Nurse's face was bloodied from a self-inflicted wound, giving a tragic analogy for the Oilers' early season struggles. When nurse Terry Johnson took a wrist shot that deflected off the crossbar and straight back to his face, he was warming up in Raleigh ahead of the game against the Carolina Hurricanes. Sadly, the NHL veteran wasn't wearing his helmet, which may have prevented the puck from smashing into his nose. Nurses raced over to the tunnel to return to the locker room before returning with a bloody face and cotton in each nostril. Nurse lived up to the sport's greatest myth ('he's a hockey player,') while losing 6-3.
