Daniel Charles Woodburn (born July 26, 1964) is an American actor, comedian, and advocate for the disability rights movement due in large part to his dwarfism. On the sitcom Seinfeld show Mickey Abbott.

To date, he has more than 150 television and 30 film appearances.

Early life and education

Woodburn was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Abington Senior High School in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and the Temple University School of Communications and Theater. In 2001, he received the school's Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award.

Personal life

Woodburn is married to Amy Buchwald, an actress, scriptwriter, and comedian. Woodburn's character's love interest was revealed in an episode of Conan the Adventurer.

Career

Woodburn appeared in numerous stage productions before heading to Los Angeles, such as The Indian Wants the Bronx by Israel Horovitz; Scapino; Revenge of the Space Pandas by David Mamet; and Viet Rock, a touring company production. With The Soda Jerk, he began his career in New York theater as a performer.

Woodburn, a stand-up comedian who has appeared on national television, has performed around the country. "The Improv;" The "Comedy Store;" "Gotham Comedy Club;" "Reality Intuitive Theatre;" and the "Laugh Factory," are among his comedy clubs.

In Fox's 1992 Halloween special, Count DeClues' Mysterious Castle, which was shot at The Magic Castle nightclub in Los Angeles, Woodburn appeared as "Professor Pixel."

Woodburn appeared on more than 150 television appearances, beginning with his role as Mickey Abbott on the multi-Emmy winning series Seinfeld. He appeared on the 1997 series Conan the Adventurer (as Otli, Conan's sidekick); Special Unit 2 as Carl; and multiple return appearances on Passions; Avery and the Beautiful; The Bold and the Beautiful; Becker; Bones; In addition, several guest stars appeared on such programs as Hunter; Lois and Clark; The Pretender; Angel; Veronica's Closet; and Jane the Virgin;

He has appeared on such children's television shows as "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody; iCarly; Cory in the House; Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn; and Bizaardvark. On Crash & Bernstein, Mr. Poulos appeared regularly as Mr. Poulos.

Eden Sher appeared in "Pixtopia," an episode of Disney Channel's Star vs. the Forces of Evil's "Pixtopia," he guest-voiced the pixie task master.

Woodburn has appeared in Jingle, All the Way; Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her; The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas; Employee of the Month; Watchmen; and The Identical. He appeared in Santa Buddies, The Hunt for Santa Paws, and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups, as the children's television series Santa Buddies. Splinter's motion capture was made by him, with Splinter's voice provided by Tony Shalhoub.
