As the National Transportation Safety Board announced, a federal trial for Boylan began on Tuesday to find if the captain was to blame for the disaster. The judge in the trial, which is based on a jury selection in Los Angeles, found out before the trial began that the 34 people injured in the Labor Day tragedy could not be named 'victims.' Judge George Wu ruled that "victims" is a prejudicial term that threatens Boylan's right to a fair trial.
