Daniel Furlong (born 3 January 1998) is an Irish singer.
He is known for winning the third series of The All Ireland Talent Show.
He was also the first wildcard to win the show, the first to win for The East and subsequently, the last winner of the show before it's cancellation.
He has been a member of the Irish band Celtic Thunder.
Career
Furlong appeared in auditions for the RTÉ One television show The All Ireland Talent Show. Mentor Bláthnaid N. Chofaigh selected him as one of her eight acts to represent the East in the live finals, which took place between February and March 2011.
On the 13th heat, Furlong fought for a spot in the semi finals. He received a score of 35. He defeated Halo from the South and We Should Try D'N'D from Dublin before losing out to Politically Correct. The judges had then selected him as a wildcard.
Furlong defeated Daragh Merritt, Wallis, Shane Doonan, Claire Mulholland, Karate Pencil Case, and the Virginia Gospel Choir in the heat of the season. Daniel and Shauna Buckingham finished top-two and secured a spot in the semi-finals.
He won the second semi-final and Politically Correct, beating 2 Day Country and Politically Correct. He came in second, behind Mad for Road. He also defeated Sean Nós, who came third, in a tSionann fight. The top three acts in the semi-finals advanced to the final.
Daniel defeated Sean Nós ar an tSionann, Brian Sheerin, and Cosa Beoga in the final to reach the top three and perform again. Don Stiffe, who had 69,008 votes, and Mad for Road who received 79,984 votes.

After Damian McGinty left, Daniel Furlong joined the band. Furlong is a soprano, unlike McGinty when he first joined the club. Despite being a new Celtic Thunder member, he holds the honor of being the youngest current Celtic Thunder member, despite being a guest artist of the singing group.
Furlong appeared in the St Peter's College and Loreto Secondary School Wexford joint production of Les Misérables School Edition in 2015, as the lead role, Jean Valjean. In the Dun Mhuire Theatre from 7 to 10, December, the performance was staged for four nights.
