Bournemouth 3-1 Southampton: Evanilson, Dango Ouattara and Antoine Semenyo score as the Cherries triumph in derby to increase the pressure on Russell Martin

TOM PRENTKI AT THE VITALITY STADIUM: Russell Martin signed a three-year contract extension in the summer after guiding Southampton back to the Premier League at the first time of asking. It was, undoubtedly, an impressive feat after they so dismally fell out of the Premier League and underwent a huge turnover of players. The Wembley Playoff win against Leeds in May must now feel like a lifetime ago for Martin, whose team still have only a solitary point after this latest damaging defeat at South Coast rivals Bournemouth , who were 3-0 up by half-time.
That Southampton nosedived so spectacularly after Bournemouth's £40 million man Evanilson opened the scoring will be of grave concern for Martin. His team simply capitulated as Dango Outtara and Antoine Semenyo quickly went on to take the game beyond them.
West Ham 1-0 Bournemouth: Jarrod Bowen scores 88th minute winner as the Hammers progress to third round of Carabao Cup with Cherries boss Andoni Iraola angry over handball

KATHRYN BATTE AT LONDON STADIUM: Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola blasted officials after a second handball controversy in four days saw his team dumped out of the League Cup. The Cherries had wasted several opportunities to score before Jarrod Bowen's 88th minute winner handed Julen Lopetegui a late birthday present, but replays showed the ball hit the forward's elbow before hitting the back of the net. With VAR not in use at this stage of the competition, the goal was not able to be overturned. It comes days after VAR controversially disallowed Dango Ouattara's winning goal for handball against Newcastle.
Dango Ouattara's 'handball' that saw Bournemouth's last-gasp goal against Newcastle disallowed was too close to call, writes MARK CLATTENBURG... it could easily have been a goal
www.dailymail.co.uk,

MARK CLATTENBURG: The laws state that if any part of the ball touches below Dango Ouattara's sleeve line, it's handball. When you look at the replay, it's a really difficult one - does it come off the shoulder? A little bit below the sleeve? I don't think there's anything concrete to say it hits below the sleeve and if the goal had been given, I don't think anybody would have been complaining.
