More than a year in prison will be spent by a woman who strangely kidnapped a private school teacher for a 'drunken, violent interrogation.' Lauren Grainger (left), 42, of Northern NSW, was sentenced to 15 months in prison without parole on Tuesday after a jury took less than two hours to convict her in September. She was found guilty of holding Brisbane St Peters Lutheran College teacher Anthony Stott (right and inset) against his will at her Cudgera Creek home just hours before he was struck and killed by a car on the M1 Pacific Highway on February 10, 2020.

Lauren Grainger, 41, of Kin Kin Kin in Queensland, had pleaded not guilty to Anthony Stott's aggravated kidnapping on February 10, 2020. A semi-trailer at St Peters Lutheran College struck Mr Stott, a French tutor at St Peters Lutheran College, after being arrested tied to a chair and struck with a golf club in a shed on a farm in Cudgera Creek that belonged to Grainger and her partner Mark Frost. After being found guilty of Mr Stott's kidnapping, Grainger daubed her eyes with a handkerchief on Wednesday. She will now be released in December.
