Colton Herta (pictured right), a US motorsport celebrity, has taken a sarcastic shot at Brad Pitt on social media. It comes as the Hollywood heartthrob (left with Lewis Hamilton and right with Mercedes mechanics) prepares to race at the British Grand Prix in July.

The American motorsport family has rallied behind Formula One-chastised Colton Herta, insisting that the 'elitist' sport doesn't want drivers from the United States involved. Herta had been heavily involved with 2023 until this week, when it was revealed that Red Bull, along with sister company AlphaTauri, had scrapped plans to get him the mandatory superlicense required for him to get a job. The IndyCar race winner had been predicted to drive for AlphaTauri next season, and he would have been the first American driver to play the sport after Alexander Rossi in 2015.

Mick Schumacher is being fired from American team Haas, which means the legendary family name is unlikely to appear on the Formula One grid next season. According to Sportsmail, Hass boss Gunther Steiner has already decided that Schumacher, the 23-year-old son of Michael Schumacher, the legendary seven-time world champion, is oversufficient to needs. The Germans' contract came to an end in December, and talks over a new extension have failed to progress. After failing as a coward supersub, scoring in two of his four appearances for Racing Point/Aston Martin in which he filled in for corona-stricken drivers, the Haas have changed Nico Hulkenberg, Schumacher's 35-year-old compatriot, as their No. 1 target.
