Christian horner has revealed tha Red Bull could make a move for George Russell when his Mercedes contract expires.  Russell has impressed since joining Mercedes from Williams in 2022, coming fourth in his first year with the team.  The 26-year-old current deal comes to an end at the end of next year's Formula One season and given his capabilities, Horner says Red Bull would be 'foolish' to not consider the Brit.

An appeal process conducted internally at the world championship-winning team's parent company, Red Bull GmbH, in Salzburg, has concluded, with a second KC clearing him of inappropriate behaviour towards a female employee. The complainant, who remains on the staff, has been suspended since March.

HENRY CLARK IN SPA: Red Bull boss Christian Horner insists he wouldn't have ordered Lando Norris to surrender the lead of last weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix if he was in charge of McLaren. Norris was told by his team to allow Oscar Piastri through after the Australian pitted early from the lead of the race to protect the McLaren pair against Lewis Hamilton. Piastri went on to claim his maiden win in Formula One, but only after Norris spent 20 laps in the lead before allowing his team-mate to pass.

Max Verstappen was reportedly up until the early hours of the morning gaming ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix at the weekend. Triple world champion Verstappen endured a difficult afternoon at the Hungaroring circuit on Sunday, with the Dutchman coming fifth to extend his winless streak to three races. His poor performance also came after he was involved in a collision with Lewis Hamilton which cost him a couple of places, while Verstappen seemed furious with his team and the race stewards throughout the 70 laps.

Verstappen has dominated Formula One for a number of years, winning the last three world championships and currently 84 points clear at the top of the 2024 standings. His dominance has slipped in recent races, however, with the likes of Norris (inset), George Russell and Lewis Hamilton starting to put pressure on the Dutchman at the front of the grid. Things came to a head at the Austrian Grand Prix on June 30, when Norris and Verstappen collided while fighting for the lead with both their races ruined. Verstappen received a penalty for the incident but refused to accept blame.
