I ate 12,000 calories a day and pumped iron 25/7 for a year in preparation for this role. It wasn’t until I just saw these stills that I realized it was animated. I really wish someone had told me… BUT IT LOOKS AMAZING!!!! But all jokes aside… this is pretty surreal. A bonafide *pinch me* moment. I remember playing with a mysterious green-ish castle toy at my aunt and uncle’s house when I was a kid, and my cousin said, “Oh, you’re playing with Castle Grayskull!” I stared at him and he said, “Masters of the Universe?” I think I stared some more. I don’t remember exactly… I was like, five. My cousin held up the muscle-y toy I had been playing with and told me his name was He-Man… and that I should keep playing with it and practicing because one day I would voice him on Kevin Smith’s Netflix animated series. Okay that last part is a lie, but the rest of it is true! I’ve been doing He-Man’s voice since I was a kid. I just get paid for it now. Thanks for the prophecy, Cousin Ed!! And thanks to thatkevinsmith, mattel, and netflix for trusting me with this epic role. And to hamillhimself for losing ungraciously always and forever because Skeletor sucks.
