Channel 4 has announced the closure of five of its channels as the broadcaster struggles with cost-saving cuts. In the latest video by Mike Van Erp, 52, the rogue motorist he was facing broke out in an expletive-laden rant and labelled him an 'ugly wasteman'. The video begins with Mr Van Erp sitting down at a crossing near Regent's Park when he notices a silver BMW driving on the wrong side of the road to skip the large queue that had formed. The enraged motorist then gets out of his car and begins swearing at Mr Van Erp, telling him it is 'none of his business' and asking 'is he the government or something?'.

Channel 4's bloodbath of axes appears to be rumbling on, as production has reportedly been halted on the fan-favourite show 24 Hours In A&E. The medical series has been a staple for the channel since 2011, but staff have reportedly been told that plans to film new episodes in the autumn have been shelved. Channel 4 has reportedly axed popular show Scared of the Dark after just one series despite its huge success.  Hosted by Danny Dyer, the experimental TV show asked a whole host of famous faces to live in complete darkness for a week as they were tasked with various challenges.  Former footballer Paul Gascoigne was crowned the series winner after living eight days in complete darkness as he beat Love Island's Chloe Burrows, ex boxer Chris Eubank and comedian Chris McCausland in the competition.

Eubank is the youngest son of former top boxer Chris Eubank Snr, 57, and the brother of professional boxer Chris Eubank Jr., 34. He had been released under tight conditions and will appear before Brighton Magistrates' Court in about six weeks' time, according to Sussex Police.

Despite the ongoing court trouble surrounding Benn's two failed drug tests, a deal for Conor Benn's tense fight with Chris Eubank Jr is set to be finalized this week. Last October, Benn and Eubank had been contracted to battle before the showdown was called off when Benn's two promising tests for clomifene emerged. However, the 27-year-old was cleared by UKAD in September and was reportedly told that he was allowed to fight in the United Kingdom once more.
