On Facebook and Instagram of what Chris Barnes, the owner of Stratton-Oakford Antiques, based in Whittlesey, Peterborough, posted photos of what he described as 'ex medical specimens' on sale. One photo, which was posted on Facebook but has since been taken down, displayed the bones of human skulls, priced between £100 and £195 (left). Labels have claimed that they are 'true human.' (right): Another photograph showed a jumble of remains containing pelvic, leg bones, and ribs. Customers were told that the bones were not for the feint hearted (inset top) and that they were "more macabre collectors" after the initial announcement. Mr Barnes and his shop were featured on BBC One in March, when it was visited by antiques expert Irita Marriott. Dr. Cat Jarman, a bestselling historian, told MailOnline that selling them as if they are'very much considered ethically incorrect,' and that they have been displayed in a hardware store as if they are 'nuts and bolts.'
