Chico Xavier Life

Chico Xavier (born Francisco de Paula Cândido) (born in Pedro Leopoldo, State of Minas Gerais and is commonly known as "Chico Xavier" (Chico is the Portuguese word for Francisco).

Emmanuel, the Xavier's spiritual guru, was reincarnated in Spain as Father Damien and later as a Sorbonne professor, but he was not able to produce any miracle such as healing people.

He has often stated that he could not contact a deceased individual unless the spirit was able to be summoned.

His appearances on television talk shows in the late 1960s and early 1970s helped establish Spiritism Doctrine as one of Brazil's most popular philosophies with more than 5 million followers.

Xavier's fame stayed relatively unchanged in Brazil throughout his life.

Despite his health problems, he continued to work up to his death in Uber on June 30, 2002.

In Brazil, a film biography named Chico Xavier was published in 2010.

The film dramatized Xavier's life by Daniel Filho on October 3, 2012. According to a viewer-supported poll, Chico Xavier was named "the Greatest Brazilian of all time" on October 3, 2012.
