BRIAN VINER: If I compiled my list again today, I still wouldn't have space for The Italian Job, Forrest Gump, The Great Escape, or Titanic, which all of which encouraged readers to write in. By the way, that doesn't mean I don't like or even love those photos (although not Titanic), which makes me wish the iceberg would strike a bit sooner). Here is a list of the Top 20 movies you should have included in my Top 100 list, as well as your reasons for... The Shawshank Redemption (left), Mary Poppins (right), and Saving Private Ryan (inset).

Ron Harper, a Hollywood film actor, died at the age of 91 on Monday. According to Nicole Longeuay, Harper died in West Hills on Thursday of natural causes. He was best known for his 1974 television series Planet of the Apes, which was based on Charlton Heston's 1968 classic movie.
She was in a huge 80s movie franchise and married to its hunky actress who later worked with Charlton Heston. Who is she?(Hint: she used to be a blonde)

She was both funny and full of adventure in 1980s film franchises. Her role earned her a Golden Globe nomination, and she seemed to be on a collision course to be very popular. They married the hunky star of the films, and under the same name. Hint: he is not American. This beauty appeared in various roles since her big success in 1990's Almost An Angel, with Willie Nelson and Charlton Heston. However, she left Hollywood after she felt she was given bad roles. The two were divorced in 2014, and she has a habit of posting snapshots of herself on social media, where she looks very different. Who is she?

Here are 100 films that I believe every person should see at least once in their lifetime, and all of them should make you laugh, cry, gasp, or think. In some instances, perhaps all four are present. I hope my list would bring you some good cinematic treats, or better still, introduce you to them. Happy viewing!
EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Pamella Bordes' former call-girlfriend was chosen by Reform UK as a candidate for the London seat

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: No one in Parliament has quite captured the late Alan Clark's safford style, as the late narrist and owner of Saltwood Castle in Kent, whose enthusiasm for politics was perhaps tempered by his frantic love life. However, nearly a quarter of a century after Clark's death at the age of 71, another unstoppable septuagenarian is off to fill his shoes. I can confirm that four-time married entrepreneur Marc Burca, 72, (pictured left), was selected by Reform UK as its candidate for Clark's former London constituency, which, following boundary changes, will become Kensington & Bayswater at the next general election. Burca became a magazine publisher after a brief stint in the property business. 'I interviewed Thatcher, Richard Branson, Robert Maxwell, Peter Ustinov, Charlton Heston.' Burca was also a mentor of Pamella Bordes (inset photograph) who became a House of Commons researcher and enjoyed relationships with a number of influential men before being revealed as a call-girl.
The death knell for Mayfair's most iconic nightspot?Tara Palmer-Tomkinson became a Bond girl, Jack Nicholson and Prince Andrew partied and Mick Jagger hid his affair with Jerry Hall at celeb hangout Tramp that now faces uncertain future

Tramp, a wealthy, popular, and royal playground, has closed suddenly, and it seems that it has been illegally sold. After members of a £1,000 yearly subscription received an email advising them that the club has been canceled, a byword for nocturnal overindulgence, inebriation, and sinking into sensual dissatisfaction in Mayfair seems to be uncertain. Johnny Gold, the club's legendary Founder, opened the club on December 18, 1969. Mick Jagger was a founder member of the First Night, and hellraisers Peter Sellers, Michael Caine, and Richard Harris were with him on the opening night. Tramp became a film and rock 'n' roll celebrity overnight. When in London, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Marlon Brando, and Charlton Heston were all regulars. Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor will both be able to pass by. On one night, three James Bonds, Roger Moore, Sean Connery, and George Lazenby were all in the club having dinner at the same time, which was Tramp's pulling power. Jack Nicholson French-kissed a tramp outside the club's unassuming entrance on Jermyn Street one night. Keith Moon, the Who's legendary drummer, had a penchant for removing all of his clothes and dancing naked. He was barred from removing a crystal chandelier on one occasion, but after his chauffeur returned with £500, he was allowed back 48 hours later, naked and strapped to his iconic white Rolls-Royce's bonnet before bursting away at dawn. George Best was at Tramp. Best once punched regular Sir Michael Caine on a night when the footballer appeared to muscle in on Bill Wyman's birthday, when the footballer uninhibitedly turned up with almost a dozen women in tow. In fact, it was reported that girls dressed up for Annabel's nearby Tramp and then they erupted for Tramp. Tara Palmer-Tomkinson was assured of her entry when she turned up in nothing more than a bikini under an open fur coat for her 21st birthday party.
From Lord Lucan to the New York heiress who disappeared after going shopping for a dress: As long lost video shows Michael Rockefeller living amongst the cannibal tribes.'

Michael Rockefeller's family used their considerable wealth to try to locate him when he went missing in Papua New Guinea in 1961. However, no trace of the 23-year-old man was ever found until 2015, when a film clip of him lying in a warehouse since 1969 mysteriously appeared. It depicted a naked and befuddled white man among the massed ranks of a group of Papuan cannibals, sparking widespread rumors that Rockefeller was alive and well. Lord Lucan vanished in 1974 after being accused of murdering his family's nanny in his London home. Arthur Kingsley Porter, an archaeologist and historian, disappeared in 1933 on a visit to a small island off the west coast of Ireland. Porter, who had migrated from the United States to Donegal with his partner, had become an overnight millionaire at the age of 18 because his father was a banking tycoon. Dorothy Arnold, an American socialite and heiress, was a contributor to her billionaire father's perfume business. In 1910, she disappeared from New York after informing her family that she was going shopping for a dress. Ambrose Small, a millionaire theatre magnate, vanished in December 1919, the day after he sold his chain of theatres in Canada and the United States for $1.75 million, or the equivalent of millions of pounds in today's money. After going sailing in heavy seas, the oil and gas tycoon Guma Aguiar, 35, died off the coast of Florida in 2012.
The West Gate is packed with traffic: commuters get a Yarra punt to beat Melbourne's road nightmares
www.dailymail.co.uk,

Melburnians who are trapped in the city's west by horrific road and rail construction are using a river punt to escape the daily terror commute. The West Gate Punt is ferrying ill city workers across the Westgate Bridge from the west to Port Melbourne, where they are just a short tram ride away from the CBD. This week, more than half of Melbourne's rail network will have bus replacement services as winter renovations cause major disruptions and delays throughout the Metro network.
Julie Burchill explains why she does not bow at the altar of awakening for the social justice warriors
www.dailymail.co.uk,
August 26, 2022
JULIE BURCHILL: Gore Vidal, an American writer, wrote that Puritans left England for America in the 17th century not because they were imprisoned for their religious convictions, but because they were forbidden to sue others for their beliefs.' It's impossible not to recall these words when considering the ever-growing pile of wokenings in the United Kingdom. For the first time, woke is the first suspected social justice movement that aims not to extend freedoms but rather restrict them, in the way of all violent, bullying cults. The 20th century's great progressive crusades, from women's liberation to civil rights for black and gay people, sought to extend human dignity by making sure the same laws were followed fairly and equally to all.
