Charley Boorman has revealed he suffered shocking injuries in a second motorbike crash that almost killed him - just two years after another near-fatal accident. The 58-year-old adventurer has previously spoken at length about the first incident in 2016 in Portugal when he broke his legs and needed 23 operations to walk again. But Boorman, known for his TV series Long Way Round with Ewan McGregor , has now shared details for the first time of another crash that happened in Africa in 2018. He said his 'left forearm had been bent completely backwards and all the bones had come out' and he had a 'huge brain injury, my lung had collapsed and I broke all my ribs on my left side', adding: 'The helmet was strangling me - I'd stopped breathing.' Speaking to Andy Coulson on his Crisis What Crisis? podcast, Boorman added that his wife Olivia Boorman told him at the time: 'I can't believe you've done it again.'
