Anastasia Theofilou (pictured), 36, who was known to her family as 'Annie', was born in Wirral, Birkenhead, and resided at a property in Kings Tamerton. She passed away at Derriford Hospital (right) on July 4, 2020, despite the best efforts of medical staff who retrieved a small plastic bag that still held traces of cocaine from an intimate part of her body. Plymouth Coroner's Court heard how she had been arrested shortly before 2pm the previous day on suspicion of blackmail and taken to Charles Cross police station custody suite. But, at around 4.40pm, she was seen having a fit. Despite being treated at the scene and on the way to Derriford Hospital, she later died in hospital.
