Former Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks is among the Baltimore Orioles to swoop for former Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 31, 2023
Aaron Hicks, the Baltimore Orioles' outfielder, was signed on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after Cedric Mullins went down with a strained right groin. Mullins was on the 10-day hospitalized list on Tuesday, but the Orioles are hoping Hicks would help defensively in Camden Yards' wide open outfield. Hicks was cut by the New York Yankees last week after he had more than two 1/2 years on his deal. We had suspected that he was a free agent well before the accident,' Orioles general manager Mike Elias said. 'When the accident occurred and it became abundantly apparent that this was going to be an IL, it seemed to be a good match even more so at that time.'

MLB: Orioles lose to Red Sox after Ryan McKenna drops easy two-out fly in ninth inning

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 2, 2023
In the ninth inning of Saturday night's game against the Boston Red Sox, Orioles outfielder Ryan McKenna dropped a quick, two-out fly, costing his team's victory. Masataka Yoshida's hit sailed to the middle of Fenway Park's deep left field, and McKenna strode slowly to his right, eager to make the grab for the final out of the game. The ball bounced off the palm of the 26-year-old's glove and crashed to the ground when it collided with the ground. The home crowd erupted in applause.

Thanks to Trea Turner's two home runs, the United States beat Cuba in the WBC semifinals

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 20, 2023
Trea Turner was home twice to give him a tournament-leading four, as well as a three-run run to propel the US to a bid to defend its nation's capital. Both Paul Goldschmidt and Cedric Mullins were home for the Americans, who scored in seven of eight innings, despite crooked numbers in five of them. Turner and Goldschmidt had four RBIs each. In Tuesday night's championship, the United States faces Japan or Mexico, hoping to join the Samurai Warriors as the only nations to win the title twice.
