Carla Maria Zampatti (born 19 May 1942) is an Italian-Australian fashion designer and businesswoman. Carla Zampatti Pty Ltd's Executive Chairman, Carla Zampatti Pty Ltd.
She is a board member of the Australian Multicultural Foundation, the European Australian Business Council, Sydney Dance Company, MCA Foundation, and the Industry Advisory Board of UTS V-C. Zampatti, a born in Lovero, Italy, immigrated with her family in Australia in 1950.

Personal life
Zampatti was married twice: she married Leo Schuman, her first husband, in 1964. In 1970, the two couples divorced. Her second husband, John Spender, was a politician from 1975 to 2008, and divorced in 2010.

Career
In 1965, Zampatti Pty Limited's first small collection was released, followed by a national launch two years later, and Carla Zampatti Limited was established in 1970. From the start, her clothes were appreciated and adored. One of her early dresses, purchased in 1967, is still in use for special occasions by the company's original purchaser in 2021 — a fact that has fuelled ongoing debate on fashion's quality and sustainability. At the designer's funeral, it was worn again.
In 1972, Zampatti opened her first boutique in Surry Hills, Sydney. Boutiques were open in Mosman, Double Bay, and Elizabeth Street, Sydney, increasing the Carla Zampatti Pty Ltd group's expansion into 30 Carla Zampatti boutiques and concept stores throughout Australia over the next three years. In 1973, Zampatti became one of the first Australian designers to include swimwear in her line. She was hired to design the first designer eyewear of Polaroid's range, which was expanding into other areas of fashion. Zampatti introduced 'Carla', her first perfume in 1983. It was a huge success, and she did a second in 1987, 'Bellezza'. Zampatti redesigned a vehicle especially for the women's market in a joint venture with Ford Australia. Her first Laser, which was manufactured in 1985, was followed by a series of Lasers and Meteors two years later.
Bianca Spender, Zampatti's daughter, spent her childhood in her mother's studio, sparking her curiosity in Paris studying fashion. Bianca created her own capsule collection from 2004 when she joined Carla Zampatti Limited. In 2017, Bianca expanded to create her own namesake brand.
Zampatti held several directorships, including chairman of the SBS Corporation, a member of the Westfield Group, and trustee of the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
