Virgin Mary's bust and shoulders were covered by a Mormon Church shaming painting

Carlo Maratta's painting The Holy Night was altered by the Church of the Latter-day Saints (LDS). The three angels flanking Mary were taken down and pushed her neckline up to compensate the little amount of cleavage Maratta's painting had. The majority of LDS's female members preach modesty. In Domenico Ghirlandaio's nativity celebration this year, the European sector of the cathedral also blurred Jesus' genitals. It also changed Carl Bloch's The Resurrection by removing the angels' wings and covering the females' shoulders in 2011.
