Canton Dorrelle Jones (born January 9, 1977) is an American Christian musician and Christian hip-hop artist.
Early years
Canton Dorrelle Jones was born in Deerfield Beach, Florida, on January 9, 1977, and he began singing in a boy band formed by his father at the age of five. He was writing and performing songs for friends in his hometown by the age of 16.
He migrated to Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, where he attended the school's famed Glee Club. The club performed for Oprah Winfrey, Stevie Wonder, Dr. Bobby Jones, and Ray Charles, as well as appearing at high-profile venues such as the 1996 Olympic Games' opening ceremony and the first gospel concert held at the US Pentagon.
"I started hearing the word from 1998 to 1999," he said as a Christian under their leadership, including World Changers Church International.
