The 36-year-old Spaniard has fallen to number thirteen in the ATP rankings, and he hasn't won a single spot in tennis since April 24, 2005. A relatively short period of consistency in a global individual sport comes to an end. It's all the more surprising that Cal Ripken Jr., a baseball legend who played 2,632 games without interruption, is unable to appear to have had the same injury-free record as he does.
