Sheriff Eddie Scott has been accused of using his authority to coerce women into sexual affairs, including prisoners. He also had a lawsuit lodged against him for sexual assault. During a stint in prison in 2017, Amber Jones, a local woman, came forward and said Eddie Scott, Sheriff of Clay County, Mississippi, consistently coerced her into sex. Caitlyn Wilson, a woman who previously worked at the Sheriff's Office in Clay County, has also filed a lawsuit against Scott, alleging that he sexually assaulted her. Scott is accused of using his fame to keep one more woman out of jail by force coercing her into a sexual relationship to do so in another lawsuit filed against her.
