Esther Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner's mother, died on Friday at the age of 96. Caitlyn, 73, posted on Instagram that she was'heartbroken" to have lost the woman who had remained by her side for so many decades. Esther started small with chickens on a farm. Esther had four children with her husband, William Jenner, before his death in 2000: Caitlyn, Pam Mettler, Lisa Jenner, and Burt Jenner, the latter of whom was killed in a 1976 automobile crash. However, when Jenner decided to talk about her change from Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn Jenner on the reality television show I Am Cait, she made mother Esther a celebrity. The program aired from 2015 to 2016, with two seasons in between. When Caitlyn asked her how she felt about the change, she put her mom on the hot seat.
