After their home in Lower Froyle, Hampshire, which was completely destroyed in a fire triggered by sparks from a neighbor's stove, Paul and Lynda Ben-David are suing for compensation. An entire row of cottages, including Mr and Mrs Ben-David's home, were shattered by the fire, which required more than 70 firefighters from 19 stations around southern England to come under surveillance. The fire started in a cottage that belonged to retired hotelier Gordon Mitchell and his partner, who lived just next door to the couple before spreading quickly. According to a lawsuit, a flue vent over the roof of their neighbor's Grade II listed 18th century home was installed improperly, contributing to the fire.
