He appeared on five albums with them (The Process of Belief, The Empire Strikes First, New Maps of Hell, The Dissent of Man, and True North) as well as their 2013 EP Christmas Songs. Wackerman was the new drummer for Avenged Sevenfold, according to a newspaper on November 4, 2015. Brooks had been with the band a year before the official announcement because the band wanted to "fit in" with the new drummer. Arin Ilejay, the previous drummer, is also on the band's staff, but he does not have a stage name. The Stage, the band's first full-length album, on display, displayed his experimental metal style of drumming, often using quick double kicks and blast beats.
For Korn's untitled album, Terry Bozzio, Wackerman, played drums and percussion. He is Hot Potty's frontman. Innocent, a thrash metal band starring bassist Ryan Sinn (formerly of Angels & Airwaves and the Distillers), guitarist Brandan Schieppati (Bleeding Through), guitarist Dave Nassie (No Use for a Name), and guitarist Dave Nassie are among the Innocent's drummers. Wackerman, a former fronted Kidneys player, performed alongside fellow Tenacious D band member John Spiker. John Wackerman, his brother, played with Kidneys at first, but Todd Hennig would later be replaced by Todd Hennig (Death By Stereo). In 2007, a full-length self-titled album was released, and Hold Your Fire, another album in 2012, is available for digital download. In 2012, the band split up.
