Brett Elias Bodine III (born January 11, 1959) is a retired NASCAR Winston Cup Series racer and is the current racer in Cup Series events.
Brett is the younger brother of 2006 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Todd Bodine, as well as his younger brother.

Early life
Before becoming a professional race car racer, Bodine attended Alfred State College and earned an associate's degree in mechanical engineering. In 1977, he began competing in hobby stock races at the Chemung Speedrome (owned by his parents). Brett started racing in 1979 as part of the NASC Modified Nation Championship series, finishing 35th in the final standings. With a best finish at Stafford Motor Speedway in the 1980s, Brett took third place in the final standings, despite being driven on a part time schedule. Brett won his first National Championship victory at Stafford Motor Speedway in 1983 while placing 7th in the final standings. He also placed 5th in the Northeast Region of the NASCAR Winston Week Racing Series, with six victories in 54 starts. Brett won his second National Championship title in 1984, this time at Oxford Maine. He also finished 12th in the Northeast Region of the NASCAR Winston Weekly Racing series with 3 wins in 37 starts in 37 starts, and aided his car-owner Win Johnson to win the Stafford Motor Speedway championship. Brett left the county to work for Rick Hendrick, whom his brother Geoff was driving at the time.
