With Dallas trailing 3-1 in its playoff series against the Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Conference Finals, Joe Pavelski netted a game winner in overtime to ensure that the Stars live to fight another day. On Thursday night, Pavelski converted overtime from the middle of the left circle to the far post. Stars forward Roope Hintz thought he had wrapped the game up with a shot near goal just seconds before his goal was denied by Vegas goaltender Adin Hill. Brayden McNabb, a Vegas defenseman, was suspended for high-sticking against Ty Dellandrea. With roughly 1:10 of power play time remaining until McNabb's return to the ice, Dallas scored.
