The biggest crash at Talladega in NASCAR Cup Series history unfolded inĀ Alabama on Sunday as 28 cars were caught up in a chaotic wreck. Only a handful of drivers survived the pile up at Talladega Superspeedway, which occurred with five laps to go of the YellaWood 500, when race leader Austin Cindric was shoved by Brad Keselowski's Ford. Keselowski had been tapped by Joey Logano and within moments a chain reaction left more than two dozen cars spinning off the track.

The American motorsport family has rallied behind Formula One-chastised Colton Herta, insisting that the 'elitist' sport doesn't want drivers from the United States involved. Herta had been heavily involved with 2023 until this week, when it was revealed that Red Bull, along with sister company AlphaTauri, had scrapped plans to get him the mandatory superlicense required for him to get a job. The IndyCar race winner had been predicted to drive for AlphaTauri next season, and he would have been the first American driver to play the sport after Alexander Rossi in 2015.
