EXCLUSIVE: Since Bank of America closed down account for an ultra-conservative Christian charity that supports impoverished Ugandans, the 'Debanking' row broke out

After Bank of America blocked an ultra-conservative Christian charity that provides essentials to Ugandan orphanages, a 'debanking' row broke out. Indigenous Advance Ministers based in Memphis have filed a lawsuit with the Tennessee Attorney General's office over allegations that their accounts were closed because the bank disagrees with its'religious views.' On its website, the company, which claims to have had a banking relationship with BofA since 2015, advertises pro-life and anti-same sex relations. BofA has consistently denied that it was 'debanked' the charity, telling DailyMail.com that "religious convictions were not a factor" in any account-closing decision.' However, campaigners are calling for greater transparency in how companies choose which accounts to close, as well as cases of political and religious 'debanking.'
