YouTube career
In 2008, the sisters first started posting YouTube videos. They received over 75 million views in 2010. They were later invited by Seventeen to provide makeup tips and advice to readers, but in an interview with Good Morning America Blair, they learned that she had to become homeschooled due to a bullying issue in her sophomore year of high school. The two companies have been chastised for their haul videos, which have the potential to fuel consumption and materialism idealizations, with a shopping addiction specialist showcasing the program as an example. The Fowlers were the hosts and key judges of the 'British Vlogger Boot Camp's in 2012, which revolved around young men and women aspiring to be online gurus. Each episode featured the contestants in a beauty competition, with one person being disqualified before the next round begins. They have also been nominated twice for Teen Choice Awards in the "Web Star" category for 2011 and 2012.
