Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber star as the heads of this affluent clan, who are hosting their son's wedding that is said to be the summer event of the season. Brenda Wright Lafferty appears in the latest Hulu film "Under the Banner of Heaven." Brenda and her 15-month-old daughter, Erica, are the show's beginning with the shocking murder of Brenda and her 15-month-old daughter. Allen (Billy Howle), a detective who appeared as Detective Jeb Pyre and Gil Birmingham as Detective Bill Taba), is immediately suspect, and the women (andrew Garfield as Detective Jeb Pyre and Benjamin Watson) suspect her husband, Allen (Billy Howle), as they inform him of his marriage and daughter's life. The Laffertys were a well-known Mormon family with several adult sons, as well as Garfield's Det. Pyre is a Mormon and knew of the family before the murder.
Allen asks Brenda if his faith in God was shaky, causing marital breakdowns. However, Allen maintains that Brenda was "the perfect Mormon girl." Viewers see it in action in a flashback.
