I don't know yet, but I'd be curious.' 'I don't even know how to answer that,' O'Brien said, muddled. "It's... I'll take Bill's lead on that.' We're really focusing on the Chiefs.' Scott Frost is no longer the head football coach at Nebraska, but his alma mater did give him a golden parachute in September rather than October, when the school could have reduced his $15 million by more than half. Frost came from Nebraska in December 2017, fresh off an undefeated season at UCF, and he agreed to a seven-year, $35 million deal. In 2019, he was granted a two-year deal that carried the contract until 2026. According to reports, he has a $15 million buyout that would have dropped to $7.5 million if he had been fired before October 1. On Sunday, Nebraska fired Frost amid a 1-2 start to the season and one day after a humiliating loss to Georgia Southern. Frost's brief, unsuccessful tenure at the prestigious program, where he briefly appeared as a quarterback for the Cornhuskers, came to an end.
