New tune 🎶 Coming soon(ish) • Cat on a Hot Tin Roof I wrote for a combination of several women in my life, including myself. We’ve all felt displaced, reduced, worn down by our desperation to please, been hardened by the exhaustive search for someone without an angle. We’ve all been Maggie, working hard for love. I tried not to name this song so directly but it just kept coming up. Forgive me, it was unavoidable 🤷🏼‍♀️ Hopefully a fully rendered version soon. Last year this went to the #itunes Top 10 New Christmas Albums chart and stayed put for 2 weeks, right between dollyparton & mariahcarey 😱 YOU GUYS did that!!! Ive been writing songs since I could talk and it’s always a joy to record original music ❄️ (plus a few covers). This weekend I had the privilege of opening for my old friend Barry Corbin realbarrycorbin (aka Coach Whitey) as he did a talk about his illustrious career at a fabulously restored, very old, local theater in Fort Worth, Texas downtown_cowtown . The theater is called the Isis and we did it all to benefit the building and the couple who are trying to keep it alive in an economy that isn’t prioritizing the arts. The evening was moderated by my friend thejordanross who you will recognize from thechosentvseries or yellowstone #1883, and my band jumped in at the last minute to learn 5 totally new songs basically within 2 hours 😱 josh.rodgers.79 rachelstacymusic rocky_gribble 🤠 Folks, go support your local theatres!
