I went to the second Wembley show, when an overwhelmed Damon sank to his knees and shed tears after the epic ballad Under The Westway, and his reactions were genuine. He's since described the July 2023 gigs as the best Blur ever played, so it's no surprise that the band are marking their first anniversary. A candid documentary, Blur: To The End, is in cinemas now, with a two-hour concert film following in September. There's also a new live album, out today on CD, vinyl, cassette and digitally.

After the Saudi Arabia national anthem played, the fighters made their ways to the ring, with Usyk out first. Michael Buffer announced the fighters before their walkouts via a pre-recorded video, with Usyk wearing a green robe and an ushanka. Fury then came out, dancing, with his father, John Fury, by his side. He wore a cap backwards, shadow boxing as he made his way to the ring, transitioning from Barry White to Bonnie Tyler's Holding out for a Hero.
EPHRAIM HARDCASTLE: A member of the Royal Family's honour could soon be honoured
www.dailymail.co.uk,
March 5, 2024
HARDCASTLE: One of the pleasures of being included in the Honours Lists - having a gong bestowed by a Royal Family member - could be a rare occurrence. With the King and the Princess of Wales out of action, a labour shortage has resulted in Lord Lieutenants' drafting to divide the burden. Lord Lieutenant Andrew Tryckish of Berkshire made his first appearance dispensing awards on Sunday. The MBE's recess, who are looking forward to either William or Anne, should have been deflated.

On Monday night, the Emmy Awards celebrated nostalgic cast reunions of some of the best and most beloved shows in television history. In an interview with Variety last week, Emmy Awards executive producers Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay hinted two of these reunions for the hit 90s sitcom Martin and the hit legal thriller Ally McBeal. In the interview, Rouzan-Clay said, 'I think they'll be talking about the ones that they might not see on television.'
RICHARD LITTLEJOHN: Need an ambulance?Dial 999 for gender fluid

RICHARD LITTLEJOHN: Stonewall has been tasked with the discovery that 999 operators have been told to ask all callers for their pronouns. Genuine emergencies now come a distant second, ensuring that'service users' are not mistreated in the sense of being treated with indignity. Call handlers have been warned not to refer to people as'sir' or'madam' only in the case that offends the tiny minority who identify as 'trans'. We're warned that regardless of the person's voice, we should not assume gender.'
EXCLUSIVE: Carla Foster, a mother of three, is photographed a day after being sentenced to prison for unlawfully taking abortion tablets to an end of pregnancy at 32 weeks
www.dailymail.co.uk,
July 19, 2023
EXCLUSIVE: Carla Foster was jailed in June for more than two years for taking pills that had harmed Lily's life for 32 weeks, sparking outrage from women's rights campaigners. However, the 44-year-old woman regained her appeal against her 'exorbitant' 28-month jail term on Monday, after a judge said there was 'exceptionally high mitigation.' Campaigners applauded the decision, which led to the call for a 'urgent' reform of Britain's archaic abortion laws. After being released from Foston Hall Prison in Derbyshire last night, Ms Foster was pictured this morning. As she stepped into a car, the mother was wearing a black coat, jeans, and a fashionable pair of black, flat shoes.

How mother-of-three charity worker, 44, ended up in prison after abortion at 34 weeks
www.dailymail.co.uk,

The mother of three children and an animal sanctuary worker was banned from terminating her pregnancy after eight months in lockdown and was furious about being carrying another man's child. Carla Foster, 44, a mother of three children, was too young to see her GP report the baby, so she lied and gave the false appearance that she was around seven weeks pregnant in order to obtain abortion-causing medications sent by mail. The baby was born days after she took the pills in May 2020, while she was on the phone to the emergency services. The baby was not breathing and could not be saved, according to paraphrasedoutput. The child was between 32 and 34 weeks old at the time. Before she became pregnant again in 2019, Foster already had three sons, one of whom has special needs. When lockdown began, she had moved back in with her estranged spouse. Foster had been having sex with two men for two weeks but had no idea which was the father when she became pregnant, according to the court. Foster is in prison today, but he lived in Barlaston, a charming village on the outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent. Foster's £160,000 home is on the picturesque Wedgwood Estate, which is located across the street from open fields, according to MailOnline.
Carla Foster's abortion debate in the United Kingdom: before she is imprisoned, she makes a scathing Facebook post
www.dailymail.co.uk,
June 13, 2023
A mother of three had been jailed for illegally obtaining her own abortion and had posted on Facebook just hours before. "No one has the right to judge you because no one knows what you've been through," a mother of three said. Carla Foster, 44, lied about how pregnant she was in order to obtain abortion-causing medications. She was between 32 and 34 weeks pregnant when she received the drug from the British Pregnancy Advisory Service under the 'pills by post' scheme, which was launched during the Covid pandemic. Following a remote consultation for pregnancies of up to ten weeks, medication will be able to be distributed. Before she became pregnant again in 2019, Foster had three sons, one of whom has special needs. When lockdown began, she was back in with her estranged spouse, despite carrying another man's baby. Despite a request for leniency from medical bodies and charities, she was sentenced to two years and four months in Stoke Crown Court yesterday. Foster posted a picture on her Facebook page just hours before the sentencing, saying: "No one has the right to judge you because no one knows what you've been through." They may have read news, but they didn't necessarily agree with what you felt.'
PATRICK MARMION: The cat is knocked off its hot tin roof by not even a cheesy Barry White love nest
www.dailymail.co.uk,

PATRICK MARMION: Tennessee Williams is one of the few things about him that isn't indestructible. His ferocious vigour and sometimes sarcastic humanity of his writing will survive all manner of assault, as his Cat On A Hot Tin Roof in Manchester does. This is the play that's possibly still most well known from Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor's 1958 film. It's the tale of a wealthy Mississippi family having a collective dark night of the soul while celebrating the 65th birthday of terminally ill patriarch and cotton tycoon Big Daddy.
UConn flies to the Big East Tournament semifinals after losing to Providence on a wild comeback
www.dailymail.co.uk,
March 9, 2023
MADISON SQUARE GARDEN JAKE FENNER: A grudge match was promised, but they weren't over yet. Providence and UConn had two very different outcomes in their two regular-season matchups, and things had to be decided with a third game on Thursday afternoon. In their two regular season matchups, the two bitter rivals were separated by less than 60 miles of US Route 44 through the densely woodested north of Rhode Island and the eastern Connecticut countryside exchanged heavy blows to each other. What a better place to throw another than the country's best boxing venue. Providence won by 73-61 at Amica Mutual Pavilion in front of an incendiary audience. The Huskies regained power in front of a raucous, $2 beer fueled fanbase at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs by an 87-69 victory.
