Barbara Walsh (born June 3, 1955) is an American musical theatre actress who has appeared in several important Broadway revivals.

Early life
In Chevy Chase, Maryland, Walsh grew up with seven siblings. She began performing in theater at the high school and gained a passion for singing and performing impressions from a young age. She attended Georgetown Visitation, an all-girls Catholic high school, and began to participate in musicals at a local boys' high school. She then attended Montgomery College, where she studied drama and music. Walsh spent time in Warsaw, Indiana, working in dinner theatre and summer stock. Margaret Riddleberger, Margaret Riddleberger, was her voice coach for 30 years.

Career
Walsh is best known for her appearance in William Finn and James Lapine's Falsettos (1992), as Trina. She appeared in the first staging of the Falsettos and Falsettoland as a team show at the Hartford Stage in Connecticut in 1990, directed by Graciela Daniele. She stayed in the role until Falsettos came to Broadway. For her role, she was nominated for a Tony Award, a Drama Desk Award nomination, and the Los Angeles Ovation Award. She reprised this role during the show's national tour in 1994.
Walsh made her Broadway debut in 1982 in the cast of musical revue Rock 'N Roll. The first 5,000 years. She debuted in Nine as Francesca.
