August Stradal (17 May 1860, Teplice, Bohemia – March 13, 1935, Krásná Lpa) was a Bohemian virtuo pianist, arranger, and music tutor.
Stradal, a multi-pian arranger, arranged music from Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Buxtehude, Liszt, Mozart, Paganini, Purcell, Reubke, Strauss, Wagner, and Vivaldi. Anton Bruckner's apprentice created solo piano arrangements of the composer's symphonies 1, 2, 5, 6, and 8.
Both Theodor Leschetizky and Franz Liszt's graduate studies in Weimar, Rome, and Pest, where he performed some of Liszt's most difficult works, were among his pianistic interests.
Liszt's 13 Symphonic Poems was arranged by him.
In 1928, he received the Czechoslovak State Award.
