Apple's Emergency SOS is free on iPhone 14 for two years, but the company will not worry about the long run

Apple's latest Emergency SOS satellite feature, which is designed to link you to emergency personnel if you're in a remote location without cell phone towers or wi-fi, this week. It debuts in November, two months after the first smartphone appeared on the market on September 16. Apple will work with the globalstar network of satellites. However, the tech giant has yet to reveal how much money will cost after two years or whether people purchasing a new iPhone after the 14th anniversary will get the service for free - and did not respond to a DailyMail.com investigation into the price.

Mother of wheelchair-bound son blasts 'inconsiderate moron' Mercedes driver for parking on pavement

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 22, 2022
Michelle Williams, 59, of Bedworth, Warwickshire, was strolling her son Ashley Williams, 25, 25 (pictured together inset), when they encountered a Mercedes parked on the pavement along Furnace Road. Ashley's wheelchair was unable to get out of the car on the pavement, so the mother was compelled to drag his chair out into the road to get past. Following a violent attack last year, Ashley is now restricted to a wheelchair permanently. He had two strokes, a bleed in the brain, and was in a coma for six weeks. Liam McMahon, a 21-year-old man who was only released from jail just hours before assaulting Ashley with a glass bottle of vodka on April 1, 2021, was sentenced to seven years in Warwick Crown Court. Judge Andrew Lockhart QC said the force used was "to make a good dent in a tree with an axe." The 25-year-old has been left with a life-changing brain injury that necessitates round-the-clock care, as well as the need of a hoist to get him out of bed each morning. Michelle expressed her dissatisfaction with Facebook, describing the driver as 'inconsiderate' for parking on the pavement.
