Officials said the man collapsed while scaling the cliff, causing his knee to become trapped in the crack around 8 p.m. A team from Grand County Search and Rescue arrived to assist after several hours. The man was released after only sustained minor physical injuries, thanks to their team's combined efforts. He had been detained for about 12 hours by the time he was rescued.
