As more people shift to strength training, Justin Musgrove, the company's chief executive, said they were attempting to attract new members by offering app-based classes and have more weights in their fitness suites. Last year, Fitness First collected £33.2 million in membership fees, compared to £50.8 million in 2019, as people resumed the trend of home working for at least part of their week.
