Months after CBS announced its hit Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon will end after its seventh season , star Annie Potts is speaking out about the decision. The show had been given a three-season renewal in March 2021, taking the show up through Season 7, though CBS revealed in November that it would end that season. With the series finale slated for May 16, with production ending just last week, Annie Potts didn't hold back, calling it a 'stupid business decision' in a Variety interview.

With $45.2 million in ticket sales across 4,345 theaters in North America, the longest-running franchise came to an end over the weekend. The film was initially expected to reach $42 million but it did marginally better than expected. McKenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, and Paul Rudd's relationship with OG stars Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts brought in $6.4 million at the international box office over a weekend.
