Four people including a child were killed and 24 others were wounded in an Israeli strike near Beirut's biggest public hospital last night, according to the Lebanese health ministry. Israel's bombardment of Lebanon has displaced more than 1.2million people multiple times, according to the country's authorities. The IDF says its aim is to drive Hezbollah terrorists from the border region so tens of thousands of Israelis can return to homes they were forced to flee over the past year due to cross-border fire. On Monday, a fresh round of strikes near the Rafik Hariri University Hospital killed three adults and a child.

Fears that Israel could resort to using nuclear weapons appear unfounded, the report said, stating that although Israel had 'likely dispersed' its Jericho II nuclear-capable ballistic missiles, the move is 'almost certainly defensive and we have not observed indications that Israel intends to use a nuclear weapon'. Still, Tehran is fearful that a conventional strike could cripple its own nuclear facilities, with Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei declaring this morning his nation had informed the UN's nuclear watchdog, the IAEA, about threats to nuclear sites.

Hezbollah's militant leader has boasted of developing 'new weapons' that could be used on the 'front lines' of a potential conflict with Cyprus, drawing more nations into growing tensions in the Middle East.  The militant group also hinted at throwing fuel on the fire of conflict between itself and Israel, after publishing chilling footage of its drones scouting targets in the north of its enemy's territory. Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the militant group's chief, claimed in a televised speech on Wednesday that he is in command of new weapons and intelligence capabilities that could help it target more critical positions deeper inside Israel in case of an all-out war.

He told MailOnline: 'Since October 8, Hezbollah has harassed Israel's northern communities, turning them into ghost towns through its aerial strikes both of missiles and attack drones,' Melamed added. 'It has also managed to ignite forest fires in northern Israel, all in service of its partners in Gaza , part of Iran's network of "resistance". But, its success has also left it with very few viable targets left that won't result in a significant Israeli strike.' 'On Israel 's northern border, the ever-growing exchange of fire between the IDF and Hezbollah is bringing the conflict to the brink of crossing over to a full-scale war,' Melamed added. This comes as Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (left) said that 'no place' would be safe, while also threatening to attack Cyprus. Nasrallah said his group would fight with 'no rules' and 'no ceilings' in the event of a broader war.

But ongoing clashes have seemingly riled Israeli officials in recent weeks, with thousands of Israelis still living in temporary accommodation after being evacuated from their homes near the northern border months ago. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz warned Hezbollah on Tuesday that it would be destroyed in the event of a 'total war' and said Tel-Aviv is considering ramping up hostilities. 'We are very close to the moment when we will decide to change the rules of the game against Hezbollah and Lebanon,' he said in a statement issued by his office. 'In a total war, Hezbollah will be destroyed and Lebanon will be hit hard.'

When flying to Ukraine to request that prosecutors drop the Burisma Holdings probe, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik collapsed into a 'damning' picture of Biden with a Hunter-linked aid on Air Force Two.
