Amanda Kay Butler (born March 6, 1972) is an American college basketball coach and former player.

In 2018, Butler was hired as the head coach of the Clemson Tigers women's basketball team.

Prior to that, she was the head coach for the Florida Gators women's basketball team and the Charlotte 49ers women's basketball team.

Amanda Butler was born in Mt. In 1972, Juliet, Tennessee, was born. Mt. In 1990, Juliet High School graduated. Carol Ross, the Gators' head coach, had recruited her to serve for the University of Florida and spent four years as guard. She went from playing to teaching after concluding her playing career in 1994. In 1997, she began teaching at Florida, where she pursued her education with a master of science degree in exercise and sport science. She worked at Austin Peay from 1997 to 2001, and served as the assistant head coach for former Charlotte head coach Katie Meier from 2001 to 2005 after leaving Florida in 1997.

Butler became the sixth head coach of the Charlotte 49ers women's basketball program on April 19, 2005. In her first year as coach, she was named Atlantic 10 Conference Coach of the Year after twenty victories and a share of the regular season championship.

Butler returned to her alma mater as the Gators' head coach after Carolyn Peck was fired following the 2006-07 season as the Gators' head coach. She was shot on March 6, 2017, her 45th birthday.

Butler was originally hired as head coach at Clemson. Butler's first year at Clemson was a turning point. The Tigers were 11-19-19 and 1–15 in ACC play in their previous season. Butler led the team to a 9-7 record in the ACC and was named ACC Coach of the Year in 2018. Butler's first season as the Tigers' first-year head coach in ACC history.
