Bos Nation FC, the NWSL expansion club slated to launch in 2026, has pulled its 'Too Many Balls' ad campaign amid uproar over the messaging for Boston's new women's soccer team. Among the reactions was an Instagram post from Seattle midfielder Quinn, who identifies as transgender and nonbinary, saying, 'Feels transphobic. Yikes.' Just one day after unveiling the slogan as part of the rollout of the team name BOS Nation FC, the organization said in a statement that 'we missed the mark' with an attempt to 'create a bold and buzzworthy brand launch campaign.'

Former Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman is coming to the defense of her fellow American Jordan Chiles after she was stripped of her bronze medal in the floor exercise at the Paris games. As a reminder, Chiles, and Romanian gymnasts Ana Barbosu and Sabrina Maneca Voinea were all competing in the floor exercise final at the Paris games. After Chiles score came in fifth - behind Barbosu and Voinea respectively - the Americans appealed and her score was raised up to third place, winning her a bronze medal.

'This is just so heartbreaking and I'm just so gutted for Jordan. I can't even imagine what this past week has been like for Jordan and the other athletes involved,' Raisman said.

The U.S. Justice Department announced a $138.7 million settlement Tuesday with more than 100 people who accused the FBI of grossly mishandling allegations of sexual assault against Larry Nassar in 2015 and 2016, a critical time gap that allowed the sports doctor to continue to prey on victims before his arrest. When combined with other settlements, $1 billion now has been set aside by various organizations to compensate hundreds of women who said Nassar assaulted them under the guise of treatment for sports injuries. Nassar worked at Michigan State University and also served as a team doctor at Indianapolis-based USA Gymnastics. He's now serving decades in prison for assaulting female athletes, including medal-winning Olympic gymnasts.

The total price of payouts over the liability of Nassar's actions has now been brought to over $1billion. Michigan State University agreed to settle claims with hundreds of victims for $500million in 2018, after complaints about Nassar's abuse were dismissed and buried several times. Star gymnasts such as Simone Biles, McKayla Maroney, Maggie Nichols and Aly Raisman all spoke out against their former doctor.

According to the prisoner accused of stabbing Larry Nassar in his prison cell, the disgraced former sports doctor triggered the assault by making a lewd comment while watching a Wimbledon tennis match. Shane McMillan, 49, has been listed as the prisoner who assaulted Nassar in his cell on Sunday with a homemade weapon at the United States Penitentiary Coleman in Florida. Nassar, 59, was almost dead after suffering multiple stab wounds in the neck, chest, and back before four other prisoners rushed in and arrested him of the pedophile.

Aly confessed to Insider that she would't feel amazing or great" when competing, implying that she'd have bouts of nausea, exhaustion, and scalp, and neck pain as a result of her exposure to the brilliant lights of competition venues. Initial consultations with a variety of medical specialists were painfully fruitless, with doctors giving vague, catch-all diagnoses like anxiety and depression to clarify her symptoms.

Douglas is one of the 90 athletes suing the FBI for failing to arrest Nassar.
