Elon Musk officially unveiled more futuristic Tesla devices last week, but it seems not everyone is thrilled. Australian-Egyptian filmmaker Alex Proyas has accused the billionaire tech boss of poaching his ideas from his 2004 film 'I, Robot'. On X (Twitter), Proyas posted photos of futuristic tech from 'I, Robot' next to three remarkably-similar Tesla products - Optimus, Robovan and Robotaxi.

The director behind the '90s cult classic film The Crow has slammed the film's controversial remake. Alex Proyas has taken to social media throughout the week to share his candid thoughts on the remake, with one swipe taking aim at the film's poor box office performance. The 2024 remake, starring Bill Skarsgård and directed by Rupert Sanders, opened last weekend to disappointing box office returns, with $4.6million in the US and $10.3 million globally on a reported $50 million production budget.

The reviews are in, and critics are suggesting the new remake of The Crow should have flown right past theaters. The dark superhero film, which stars Bill Skargård and the singer FKA Twigs, arrived in theaters on Friday, but reviews were embargoed until around when Thursday night preview screening began, which has come to be seen by Hollywood prognosticators as a marker of studios fearing a poor reception. That turned out to be an accurate prediction, as the film currently has a disappointing 14 percent rotten rating among the most prestigious critics surveyed by Rotten Tomatoes.
