Akafi Ali, who is from London but now lives in Columbus, Ohio, said he does not understand why tipping is so huge in the country. He said: 'What the hell is tipping? I don't get it. Tipping here, tipping this, tip tip tip. I've spent two months here and [it's] tip, tip tip. Can I get a tip? Why do I have to pay you?' Akafi said he doesn't understand why companies don't seemingly pay their workers enough to survive on and why their wages should fall on the customer and how much they tip.
