A mother-of-five who told police she was scared her boyfriend would kill her, was found dead with black eyes and fractured ribs less than a month later, a court has heard. Holly Sanchez, 32, had repeatedly denied being attacked by her boyfriend Ryan Evans in the months before her death, before telling officers that he kept 'beating the shit' out of her, put out a cigarette on her face, bit her fingers and regularly called her a slut. A trial at Brighton Crown Court heard how Evans, 31, nicknamed Mulch, had been arrested by police on several occasions and denied allegations of abuse. He was on bail conditions which said he must not contact Ms Sanchez, when she was found dead on the floor in his lounge in Oates Walk, Crawley, West Sussex, on May 13, 2023.

Khan, who had two large knives and a fake suicide belt, fatally stabbed two Cambridge students. Before running across the bridge, he injured three others. Mr Gallant, a 2005 murderer, will be among Her Majesty's list of Civilian Gallantry this year, as well as fellow campaigners John Crilly, Darryn Frost, and Lukasz Koczocik.

How POO could be lurking on self-service scanners at your local shop

www.dailymail.co.uk, November 30, 2022
EXCLUSIVE: Bacteria lurking on products such as self-service checkouts, escalator handrails, and computer keyboards, as well as species that live in human faeces, according to British scientists. These insects can cause people to be sick, often by not washing our hands before eating. After using the checkouts and a slew of other everyday items in the run-up to Christmas, public health experts have now recommended that consumers maintain good hand hygiene. In the experiment, scientists carefully swabbed 19 common items that people came into regular everyday contact with. This included supermarket self-service checkouts, escalator rails, public toilet door handles, and computer keyboards. They found self-service checkouts had "one of the highest bacterial loads" in the lab, with five species of bacteria known to cause disease in humans. Enterococcus, a bacteria that is common in faeces, was one of these bugs.
