United have agreed the £55.8m double signing of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazroaui from Bayern Munich with both poised to travel to Manchester on Monday.

SIMON JONES: West Ham have added Newcastle's Kieran Trippier to their list of right-back options as they maintain talks with Manchester United for Aaron Wan Bissaka.  The 33-year-old arrived at Newcastle back in 2022 and his contract with the Magpies is set to exppire next year.  Trippier has also endured a difficult season, with the former Tottenham and Burnley defender having struggled for form during the 2023-24 campaign. 

West Ham have announced they have completed the signing of Germany international Niclas Fullkrug on a four-year deal. The 31-year-old long been linked with a move to the London Stadium from Borussia Dortmund this summer. After undergoing a medical over the weekend, the club confirmed their signing of Fullkrug on Monday for a reported fee in excess of £23m.

CHRIS WHEELER IN LA: Manchester United will intensify their search for new full-backs this summer amid uncertainty over both sides of their defence. United's 29-man squad left for a pre-season tour of the US on Wednesday without Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot and Tyrell Malacia. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, the only senior full-back on the trip, could be sold this summer amid interest from West Ham and Galatasaray. United will consider signing a left-back due to ongoing concerns over Shaw's ability to stay fit and no sign of Malacia returning to action anytime soon.
