Trivia

Prior to casting Matthew Broderick for the role of Inspector Gadget, Brendan Fraser was originally being considered however he turned down the role because he was working on George of the Jungle. Actress Lindsay Lohan was also being considered for the role of Penny, but she declined because she was working on the film The Parent Trap. This movie was the first film in DL Hughley's career where he was casted as a voice actor.
